About the Movie
This is a feature length concert documentary that recorded a live concert performed January 13th, 2023 in a historic church abbey built in 1895 located in the gritty West Central neighborhood of Spokane Washington.
The concert featured an opera singer, burlesque dancer, jazz musicians, and audience sing-alongs with kazoos.
Through music and interviews with the Abbey Vicar and the performers we explore topics that range from how female sexuality has been suppressed in churches, the enduring human spirit found in neglected neighborhoods, and the role a church building can play in bringing people together.

Madeline McNeill is a classically trained opera singer and multidisciplinary artist based in Spokane Washington.
